Spiced Pear & Nut Tart (9")


Available for delivery or self-collection from 11 November to 24 December 2022.

Inspired by Bird of Paradise Gelato's Spiced Pear gelato, this tart features spiced poached pears encased in a candied ginger-almond frangipane baked in a hazelnut shortbread tart, dusted with icing sugar.

Complete your enjoyment by adding on a pint of Bird of Paradise's botanical-inspired handcrafted gelato in one of these flavours:

  • Strawberry Basil – Tangy red strawberries rounded off with the mellow tones of a basil infusion.
  • Spiced Pear – The musky fragrance of Williams pear complemented with the woody accents of cinnamon, cloves and star anise.
  • Dark Chocolate Mint Sorbet – Created specially for us, this vegan-friendly, dairy-free sorbet is inspired by our Christmas cupcake special this year, the Dark Chocolate Rum Mint.

Each 9" Spiced Pear & Ginger Tart yields 8 to 12 slices and is perfect for sharing.

Care & Allergens

Our sweet tarts should be refrigerated and can only be kept for 1 to 2 days from the day of delivery; although the longer they are kept, the less optimal the taste and texture. Contains gluten, dairy, eggs and nuts.

As the gelato is made fresh, for best quality we recommend consuming it within a week of opening or within a month if unopened. Please store the gelato in the freezer immediately after you receive it for at least 30-45 minutes, prior to serving. If the gelato had been left out for a while, please keep it in the freezer for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour before enjoying it.

Strawberry Basil and Spiced Pear contains dairy. Dark Chocolate Mint Sorbet is dairy-free and vegan-friendly.
