For those who like their sweet treats with a touch of umami, this alternative to the classic Lunar New Year pineapple tart will be sure to please. Each tart is made by rolling pineapple tart jam around a salted egg yolk centre, and then encasing each ball of jam in a sweet-salty, salted egg butter pastry, finished off with a generous coat of egg wash and a sprinkling of black sesame seeds for good fortune in the new year.
