These buttery shortcrust whirls made with Kyoto-Uji matcha are full of texture: melt-in-your-mouth and drily crisp with an ending of slight crunchiness from the addition of almond slivers. A perfect balance of bittersweet green tea and nutty almond white chocolate, the flavours are a East-meets-West homage to the Austrian pastry Spritzgebäck.
